Behind the Glass

I am living in a shattered glass—of disdain and pain, of tears and loneliness. Take me away from this misery. Photo from Pinterest.

Oh bring me to a world
Where loneliness has no abode,
Where you and me
Behind the glass of love
Kiss under the moonlight
And laugh through the night,
Where the birds sing
The songs I sing,
Where I can hold your hand
And dance with a band…

For I am in a glass
Of frustration and pain
Of hatred and mess
Of tears and disdain.

Until then
I’ll dream of you
Behind the glass
Behind the glass
Where I met you.
